Nintendo ha annunciato i primi dati di vendita riguardanti il lancio di The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom su Nintendo Switch.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ha infatti raggiunto le 10 milioni di unità vendute in solamente tre giorni dal lancio ufficiale nei negozi, un risultato impressionante per un titolo Switch, ma anche per la stessa serie, infatti risulta essere quello venduto più velocemente del brand di Nintendo.
Entrando più nel dettaglio, sono state quattro milioni di copie vendute nel territorio americano (risultando essere anche li quello che ha spopolato così tanto velocemente al lancio), ed un totale di 2,24 milioni di unità sono state piazzate in Giappone.
Non si hanno ancora dati ufficiali riguardanti il territorio europeo (tralasciando le vendite nel Regno Unito, dove si è piazzato primo tra le vendite settimanali), ma è molto probabile che non sarà poi così tanto diverso dagli altri territori.
L’attesissimo nuovo capitolo della serie principale di The Legend of Zelda, è stato pubblicato lo scorso 12 maggio 2023 sui Nintendo Switch europei ed americani.
