The Legend of Zelda: Eiji Aonuma si esprime sulla realizzazione di uno Zelda Maker

Eiji Aonuma ha rilasciato nuove dichiarazioni in merito ad un’eventuale realizzazione di un The Legend of Zelda Maker.
Già ai tempi dopo l’uscita di The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, ed il successo discreto di critica e pubblico di Super Mario Maker 2, si è cominciato a parlare molto a riguardo di “builder game”, stavolta per realizzare dei livelli (2D o forse addirittura 3D) di The Legend of Zelda.
Il producer della serie Eiji Aonuma, ha parlato con il sito Polygon, proprio in merito alle difficoltà e la libertà creativa dietro la realizzazione di uno “Zelda Maker”.
Eiji Aonuma: “When we’re creating games like Tears of the Kingdom, I think it’s important that we don’t make creativity a requirement. Instead we put things into the game that encourage people to be creative, and give them the opportunity to be creative, without forcing them to. There are people who want the ability to create from scratch, but that’s not everyone. But I think everyone delights in the discovery of finding your own way through a game, and that is something we tried to make sure was included in Tears of the Kingdom; there isn’t one right way to play. If you are a creative person, you have the ability to go down that path. But that’s not what you have to do; you’re also able to proceed to the game in many other different ways. And so I don’t think that it would be a good fit for The Legend of Zelda to necessarily require people to build things from scratch and force them to be creative.”
Dello stesso avviso di Aonuma, fu infatti anche Takashi Tezuka, celebre producer Super Mario Maker (e storico amico e director dei titoli di Super Mario), che ai tempi affermo che uno “Zelda Maker”, fosse davvero “una vera sfida da realizzare”.
L’atteso nuovo capitolo della serie principale di The Legend of Zelda, è stato pubblicato lo scorso 12 maggio 2023 sui Nintendo Switch europei ed americani.
