Abbiamo pubblicato un video gameplay su Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection, disponibile prossimamente su Nintendo Switch.

Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection sarà disponibile dal prossimo 6 settembre 2024 sui Nintendo Switch europei ed americani, al prezzo di $9.99 / €9.99.

Parliamo nello specifico di Kanshaku Tamanage Kantarou no Toukaidou Gojuusan-tsugi (July 3, 1986), The Wing of Madoola (December 18, 1986) e Ripple Island (January 23, 1988), disponibili dal prossimo 18 aprile 2024 sui Nintendo Switch giapponesi, più avanti anche in Occidente.

SUNSOFT ha pensato inoltre di rilasciarli con la celebre cartuccia dorata Famicom, cosa che non era mai riuscita a fare al lancio dei titoli per limiti di budget.

Three Famicom classics officially playable in English for the very first time!

SUNSOFT is back and it’s bringing some of its 8-bit classics to the West for the very first time!

In SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection, discover three of the legendary Japanese publisher’s Famicom games and play them in English for the first time ever!

The three games included are: The Wing of Madoola, Firework Thrower Kantaro’s 53 Stations of the Tokaido and Ripple Island.

Dive into SUNSOFT’s rich history by playing those Action and Adventure gems from the 1980s!


About the games included:

The Wing of Madoola: Help fierce warrior Lucia retrieve the powerful Wing of Madoola from the evil King Daltos.

Firework Thrower Kantaro’s 53 Stations of the Tokaido: As fireworks maker Kantaro, prevent evil merchants from turning his creations into weapons!

Ripple Island: Play as Kyle, a young boy dreaming of a better life, who answers King Dotella’s call for help against the nefarious Emperor Groaker.


In addition to giving brand new localizations to all three titles, multiple quality of life features have also been added to make the gameplay experience more pleasant, and less unforgiving, to modern gamers.

Ripple Island

A small island called Ripple Island was floating on the ocean somewhere. The residents of the island lived peacefully surrounded by rich nature.

One day, a monster calling himself Emperor Gerogel kidnaps the island’s princess Nasarel. The invasion of Ripple Island has begun!

Doterra, the king of the island, thought that things couldn’t go on like this, so he sent out a message to the residents. “I want the hero who defeats Gerogere to be given a suitable reward and to be married to Princess Nasarel.”

Kyle, a boy living on the outskirts of town who has been aiming to get rich quickly, sees the news and immediately prepares for a trip. They set out for the fortress where Gerogale was hiding.
