The setting is the summer resort “Narumisawa”, a charming fictional town that you may have seen somewhere before. The story is a serial drama of a prologue + 10 episodes +? that goes back and forth between the present and the past to uncover the truth behind an unsolved case from 30 years ago, and various mysteries deepen. And you’ll want to play the next episode. The Sanmei-so Incident – also known as the “Narumisawa Landscape Painter Murder Case”
Thirty years ago, on the grounds of a mansion called Yamamei-so in Narumisawa, famous artist Suiryu Uchida was murdered. A strange body was found beside the pond where the murder took place. The police investigation continued, but the case came to a close with the death of the suspect.
Thirty years later, a group of unique members of Associate Professor Ayame Minato’s seminar, a young expert in criminal psychology, come to Yamanari-so to investigate the case as a research project. Gradually, the facts become clear, and suspects emerge. The truth behind the unsolved case is revealed, and the hidden feelings behind their cheerful demeanor are also revealed…
