Dolphin: l’emulatore di Nintendo GameCube e Wii viene listato da Steam

Una news davvero singolare è emersa nelle scorse ore, ovvero la presenza del programma Dolphin, presto nello store ufficiale di Steam.
Per chi non lo sapesse infatti, Dolphin è un noto emulatore, celebre nella scena perché in grado di emulare alla perfezione la maggior parte dei titoli presenti nel catalogo di Nintendo Gamecube e Wii, è infatti stato listato per una release ufficiale su Steam.
La notizia suscita davvero molto clamore (e in parte anche interesse per chi ha molti anni di gaming alle spalle), sappiamo infatti quanto la Casa di Kyoto abbia lottato con le unghie e con i denti (specialmente nell’ultimo decennio), verso siti di emulazione e roms varie dei titoli classici Nintendo, arrivando a toccare la libreria NES, SNES, GBA, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii e cosi via.
Non solo, Dolphin riusciva anche ad emulare perfettamente i movimenti dei controller storici di Wii, ovvero Wiimote e Nunchuk, riproducendone tramite tasti programmati, o direttamente collegando dei Wiimote reali al PC, utilizzando delle periferiche apposite.
Gli avvocati di Mamma Nintendo infatti hanno vinto numerose cause (spesso anche molto lunghe), mettendo seriamente in difficoltà i proprietari di diversi siti di roms (costretti a chiudere e pagare personalmente i danni verso la compagnia nipponica), celebri per tutto il primo decennio del secolo che stiamo vivendo, una vera e propria carneficina per i Ninja di Kyoto.
La release “ufficiale” dell’emulatore Dolphin, sembra citare solamente un generico “Q2 2023”, ovvero il secondo quarto di anno corrente, e chissà se Nintendo farà qualcosa per disincentivare questa release oppure no, sarà il tempo a darci una risposta concreta.
