Il nuovo video della rubrica Game of the Sunday – Il gioco della domenica, vedrà questa volta protagonista Fire Emblem Fates: Rivelazione, il “terzo incomodo” percepito come un lost media su Nintendo 3DS.
Il leggendario terzo capitolo aggiuntivo della serie di Fire Emblem, in formato Limited Edition e DLC content dell’eShop, è stato pubblicato da Nintendo il 20 Maggio 2016 su 3DS in formato fisico in Europa (il 9 giugno in forma digitale).
Come saprete da ormai molti mesi a questa parte, alcune domeniche verrà proposto un nuovo video di “Game of the Sunday”, che troverete poi nella playlist linkata in video di seguito.
Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation è la terza e conclusiva campagna della saga di Fire Emblem Fates per Nintendo 3DS, concepita per svelare i retroscena rimasti insoluti nei capitoli speculari Birthright e Conquest.
Sinossi della Trama
- Il Rifiuto della Scelta: Al capitolo 6, il protagonista Corrin decide di non schierarsi né con la propria famiglia biologica del regno di Hoshido (Birthright) né con la famiglia adottiva del regno di Nohr (Conquest).
- Il Marchio del Traditore: Considerato un traditore da entrambe le fazioni, Corrin si ritrova inizialmente solo e braccato dai due eserciti in guerra.
- La Minaccia Invisibile: Guidato dalla misteriosa cantante Azura, Corrin discende nel regno nascosto di Valla, scoprendo che il conflitto globale è orchestrato nell’ombra da un dio drago malvagio di nome Anankos.
- L’Unione dei due Regni: Per salvare il mondo, il protagonista intraprende un viaggio disperato per convincere i fratelli reali di Hoshido e Nohr a deporre le armi e unire le forze sotto un’unica bandiera.
Caratteristiche del Gameplay
- Il Cast Più Ampio: È l’unica campagna che consente di reclutare quasi tutti i personaggi di entrambe le fazioni, sbloccando dialoghi di supporto inediti.
- Mappe Enigmatiche: I livelli presentano meccaniche uniche ed elementi ambientali interattivi, come nebbia, ascensori e alterazioni del terreno.
- Gestione Risorse Sganciata: Permette di affrontare sfide opzionali per accumulare punti esperienza e oro, combinando l’accessibilità di Birthright alla complessità strategica di Conquest.
Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation represents the third and definitive campaign of the Fire Emblem Fates saga for the Nintendo 3DS, designed to unveil the secrets left unresolved in the two parallel chapters of the series. The plot revolves around the protagonist Corrin who, when faced with the crucial choice of siding either with their biological family from the peaceful kingdom of Hoshido or their adoptive family from the bellicose kingdom of Nohr, decides to choose neither. This neutral stance leads both kingdoms to brand Corrin a traitor, leaving the protagonist isolated and hunted by both armies in the midst of the conflict.
Guided by the mysterious songstress Azura, Corrin falls into the hidden, mirror kingdom of Valla, discovering that the global war between Hoshido and Nohr is actually a manipulation orchestrated from the shadows by a rogue dragon god named Anankos. Because a deadly curse prevents anyone from speaking of Valla’s existence in the outside world, Corrin must undertake a desperate and silent journey across the war-torn lands. The ultimate goal becomes winning the trust of the royal siblings from both nations to convince them to lay down their arms and unite their forces against the true, invisible threat.
From a gameplay perspective, Revelation merges elements from both previous versions by offering the largest character roster in the entire saga, allowing the player to deploy and build support relationships between almost all units from Hoshido and Nohr within a single army. The maps stand out for their strong strategic focus on environmental puzzles, such as clearing snowbanks or navigating floating platforms. Furthermore, this campaign balances progression by allowing the player to engage in optional skirmishes to farm gold and experience, while maintaining a tactical complexity that challenges series veterans.
