Bandai Namco ha pubblicato un update per Once Upon A KATAMARI, titolo aggiornato alla versione 1.1.0 su Nintendo Switch/2.
Il nuovo titolo della serie di Bandai Namco, è disponibile dallo scorso 24 ottobre 2025 sull’eShop americano ed europeo di Nintendo Switch/2.

・ Present items: “DJ Cap,” “DJ Sunglasses,” “DJ Hoodie”
・ Added a new Katamari in the Change Katamari menu.
[Adjustments]
・ Adjusted so that Cousins, Presents, and Crowns obtained during a stage will remain acquired even if you select “Retry” or “One More Time” after obtaining them. If you return to the Select Scroll during a stage or upon failing a task, the acquired items will be reset.[/p]
・ Improved the operability of wall-climbing actions within stages.
・ Added a function to fast-forward when the King appears.

・ Fixed an issue where players could become stuck between objects in certain areas.
・ Made adjustments to some sound effects.

In Once Upon A Katamari, players will experience the series’ signature game play like never before, experiencing a journey across time featuring all-new stages, and with a new competitive multiplayer mode. The game’s memorable music returns with a new soundtrack, and game play enhancements include new customization options and fun tools such as a new magnet to pull in shiny nearby items. Players can choose to play as The Prince or 68 cousins and kin, all of whom can be customized with different colors and facial features. These customization options will be available in KatamariBall, a new four-player competitive mode where players attempt to roll the katamari as big as possible and exchange it for points within a limited time. KatamariBall will support both online multiplayer and offline play against CPU opponents.
