Il nuovo video della rubrica Game of the Sunday – Il gioco della domenica, vedrà questa volta protagonista Sonic Riders.
Il titolo “sportivo” di SEGA dedicato all’istrice blu, è stato pubblicato in Europa il 17 marzo del 2006 su Nintendo GameCube.
Come saprete da ormai molti mesi a questa parte, alcune domeniche verrà proposto un nuovo video di “Game of the Sunday”, che troverete poi nella playlist linkata in video di seguito.
Sonic Riders is the ultimate extreme sport. Taking the best elements of snowboarding, surfing and even boxing, it’s a sport perfectly suited to the spiky blue hedgehog! Dr Eggman has challenged Sonic and his friends to race in the EX World Grand Prix – an ‘air boarding’ contest where the stakes are high (an ultra-rare Chaos Emerald) and the risks are even higher. Not only must you race to the finish but also perform tricks and stunts as you go, and battle opponents in mid-air over treacherous terrain. In Sonic Riders, ‘Air’ is like fuel – the more you get, the faster you travel. And speed is the key to success. Increase your air supply by performing moves based on your character’s strengths: ‘Speed’ characters can grind to earn air, ‘Flight’ characters can glide for long distances, and ‘Power’ characters can bash obstacles (even cars!) out of their way. Naturally, there’s an intense four-player race mode too; in which you can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow or a shady group of newcomers called the Band of Thieves – each with their own unique air boards and techniques. Sonic Riders is heart-in-your-mouth, pulse-pounding racing action from start to finish, with a hefty slice of Sonic attitude thrown in too! •High-speed air board racing, stunt and combat action •Three single-player modes: Normal Race, Story and Mission •Two multiplayer modes: Tag (2-on-2) and Survival (2-4 players) •Use tricks like Turbulence, where you can ‘surf’ on the wake of a rival racer, to build up your Air and gain speed •More than 12 characters to choose, from familiar faces like Sonic and Tails to newcomers The Band of Thieves •Each character has a special technique based on Speed, Flight or Power •Tons of different racing ‘Gear’ to choose from including boards, skates and bikes”
