The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, il director si esprime sulla timeline della serie

Negli ultime ore sono emerse dichiarazioni in merito ad eventuali DLC in arrivo per The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tramite un’intervista alla celebre rivista giapponese Famitsu, il director di The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hidemaro Fujibayashi, ha cercato di fare chiarezza sulla timeline dopo il rilascio dell’ultimo capitolo della serie.
“It is definitely a story after Breath of the Wild. After that, basically, we are thinking about how not to break the story and world of The Legend of Zelda. Those are the two points I can say at this point in time.
I think if it doesn’t collapse, fans can have the space to wonder various things like “So that means that is possible?”. If we only speak of the possibilities, if there is the story of Hyrule’s founding, it is also possible that Hyrule has collapsed in its history once before. I don’t randomly make things by saying “Isn’t it interesting if we did this here?”, so even for the parts we did not tell, I hope you enjoy imagining it. “
La storia di Tears of the Kingdom infatti è decisamente particolare, in quanto tecnicamente Skyward Sword nelle menti dei giocatori, fosse in precedenza l’inizio degli eventi della serie, che culminavano con gli eventi accaduti in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, posto alla fine della sequenza temporale.
Tuttavia, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, nonostante si svolga dopo Breath of the Wild (e viene confermato dallo stesso director Fujibayashi), riesce a toccare anche fondazione di Hyrule, grazie al viaggio nel tempo enorme di Zelda nel passato, di conseguenza potrebbe essere allo stesso tempo anche l’inizio della vicenda.
Hidemaro Fujibayashi si è anche soffermato sul fatto che Hyrule sia caduta nell’oblio più di una volta nel corso delle vicende, basti pensare anche alla Timeline negativa creatasi con Ocarina of Time, dove l’eroe del tempo esce sconfitto dalla battaglia contro Ganon.
Inoltre è molto peculiare come ci sia un altro punto in comune tra Tears of the Kingdom e Skyward Sword, dove in entrambi il villain principale della vicenda, è stato imprigionato dagli dei del tempo corrente per molto tempo, fino a riuscire a liberarsi nel corso della trama.
L’attesissimo nuovo capitolo della serie principale di The Legend of Zelda, è stato pubblicato lo scorso 12 maggio 2023 sui Nintendo Switch europei ed americani.
